In 1936, Gian Paolo Greci founds the company Imeta in Parma, further to an enriching experience in Sales in an English Company specialized in making tin cans and covers for food applications.
We bring to the Italian market the first tools for seaming, getting more specialized in manufacturing seaming rolls, chucks and spare parts for seaming machines.
We increase our product’s range and we start a partnership with the main manufacturers of seaming machines in the local market.
One of the first projects we worked on to improve the performances of an automatic seaming machine was the single screw cover feeder.
Imeta is every day more stable and structured, it has now a bigger plant in the heart of the town, and the business grows approaching the foreign market.
In the early ‘90s, Imeta passes in the hands of the Greci’s family completely.
Gian Paolo’s children Monica and Guerrino will later take over the business, bringing innovation to technology and production.
In 1999 Imeta obtains the certification ISO 9001:2000.
Imeta keeps growing and it moves to the new plant in 2005, right outside the town. The site is not the only thing becoming bigger, as new ambitious targets are set to reach: embracing the global market of the seaming industry.
In 2016 Imeta is the only one in this industry who obtains the AEO certification.
In 2017 it comes into operation the American branch Imeta Inc., placed in New York, to manage the northern American market better, thanks to an extended spare parts warehouse.
In 2018 we adapt to the new norm for the Quality Management System and eventually obtain the ISO 9001:2015 certification.
